- Paint two coats of a nude polish, such as Essie Whisper, on each nail.
- Paint thin, vertical, side-by-side stripes of jewel tone polishes on the top of each nail. I used Essie Sure Shot, OPI Purple with a Purpose, OPI Austin-Tatious Turquoise, and China Glaze Frostbite.
- Paint a glittery polish above the stripes, such as OPI Pirouette My Whistle.
- Finish with a top coat.
